I bought this futon when my boyfriend and I moved in together. We needed something lightweight as we anticipate we'll move a lot, comfortable, and cheap (cheaper than buying a queen size bed). This futon is perfect for us. My boyfriend actually brags about to everyone that comes over. "Look, we sleep on a futon on the floor. And it is amazing." I really don't have anything negative to say about this mattress. I expected it would take longer for me to get used to sleeping on a futon but I was fine after a night. We've had it for a month now and slept on it every night. It's amazing.

after cutting open the wrapping, i left the mattress on my deck in the sun for 6 hrs. it expanded to the full 8"
and the factory smell was just about gone. i slept on it the same night and was very happy with it. my daughter said " its like sleeping on a cloud". this replaced the old 6" wolf that was 12 yrs old. the wolf is a great mattress

I wanted to wait for the bed frame before leaving feedback. I am very pleased with the craftsmanship. I had to costom order a slip cover because of the thickness. I would recomend two people to put it on,lol.

Excellent product, thick dense and comfortable. My only complaint is that is came with one of the nylon cords that pulls the front and back together missing. So, it looks a little off, but that will not affect the functionality and besides I plan to get a cover for it.

I purchased this for my son. He is in college and works long hours. He needed a good mattress for his futon. He is very satisfied with the mattress. The only complaint I have is the cover. It could use some improvement, but no problem. I will purchase a cover to go over the mattress and all will be fine. The mattress is very comfortable according to my son.

I prefer futons as I live in a small apartment and I never thought a futon mattress could be as comfortable as a real bed mattress. But this one is. It's firm enough to support my back (I have chronic lumbar pain) yet soft enough to be luxurious and the perfect place to lounge, read, even do my stretching exercises for my back. I had no problem getting it out of its packaging and into position, and I'm not that strong. There was no "factory smell." I haven't been able to get my cat off of it. My only worry is that I'm going to wear it out, as it's my most comfortable piece of furniture right now.

I use the product everyday since I bought it a week ago. Its the best mattress I've slept on since ages. Even better than the custom tailored beds I had in childhood. Very firm, gives uninterrupted, relaxed sleep, and I wake up without any back aches or neck aches in the morning, no matter what my sleeping posture is. My husband simply loves it. The only difficulty I had with it is that its bulky and difficult to move around as I live alone, but I guess that's a problem with every mattress.

This futon was well worth the price - very thick and comfortable! Only drawback is that it is very heavy and hard to move around if you are alone. You'll need a friend if you need to pick it up to put on the frame. Great item!

We use this in a basement that is used occasionally as a guest room. We had our first guest who had no complaints about it. But it does have a strong "fresh-from-the-factory" odor that permeates the room and sheets. I even could smell it on myself after sitting on it for a few minutes.

Mattress has worked great for us. When it first came, it was really flattened we think from the vacuuming process of bagging it, but it has fluffed-up some.

Unwrapped the futon queen mattress and left it alone in spare room for a week to expand. I didn't want to sleep on it until it had had a chance to get some air back into it, at an unhibited rate. The shaking that is recommended is helpful, but I think not using it until it puffed up a bit was the best. It is very comfortable and thick.

This futon is used as the primary bed for a 135lb woman, so far so good as far as comfort, nice blend of cushy but supportive, however we've only had it a month. But the mattress off gassed TERRIBLY for days after we set it up, she couldn't even sleep in the same room. So don't plan on using it right away. And there is WAY too much packaging. There is a lightweight inner sleeve over the mattress cover, then a super heavy plastic over that, then a huge cardboard box. The box is not necessary, I've had rugs bigger than the futon [...]. Then the cover is one of the non-woven material, like a very heavy HandiWipe, unpleasant to touch, and there were loose threads all over the place. Plus there is a zipper in the cover but you would have to snip the tufting to get it off, so you have to really put another cover over it anyway if it gets any regular use such that you want to remove the cover and clean it periodically. And it's so heavy! I would have thought the foam inserts would have made it lighter. So it's hard to rate, as far as comfort I would give it four stars, but other issues would make it a two.

This is our primary futon/sofa for our t.v room, so we use it quite often. It was better than i had expected. I had my niece here staying when it arrived and when we opened it to sleep I was amazed. It was so comfortable I fell asleep several times and still felt great in the morning. I would and have already recommended this futon to friends and family. I would buy another also. I hope this stays as comfortable as it is now for a while. The only con i could even come up with, (which isn't really a con) it is too heavy to move by myself...

I use this futon primarily as a couch, and as a guest bed when needed. The futon itself is very nice, with good padding, and seems well made and sturdy. It's very comfortable for sleeping!

However, it's hard to use it as a couch, because it won't hold the shape of the frame. It's constantly slipping down and off the bottom of the futon frame, and needs constant adjusting so that it doesn't droop off the bottom all the way to the floor. Sometimes when I'm using it I have to adjust it three or four times in an evening.

It's very comfortable to sit and lie on, the fabric is nice and the color is great. I wish it was a better couch, but as a bed, it's fantastic.

Outstanding futon mattress. My husband had been trying to get rid of the futon for some time until I found a solution to fix the flat mattress that we had. This mattress has met all of my expectactions and exceeded them with flying colors. This has been an excellent futon mattress so far. It is fluffy, thick and has the ability to soak up your body into it's fluffy softness. The only downside I have noticed so far is that it isn't really 10in thick, it's almost 9in actually.
